Little is passed down from the generations and that kind of knowledge is something that is irreplaceable.- Lars Richter

“WELLNESS Warrior” Lars Richter will visit Trentham this weekend, bringing with him ancient knowledge of creating a traditional wooden longbow.

The German-born Moriac craftsman travels the country teaching people not only how to craft the beautiful wooden objects, but encourage them to reconnect to ancestral wisdom.

“Little is passed down from the generations and that kind of knowledge is something that is irreplaceable,” he said.

“What better way is there to connect the generations than to create something together. It’s a form of meditation and way to calm the mind.”

Mr Richter said health benefits in creating a handmade longbow included an increased sense of calm, less stress and anxiety and a better awareness of self and immediate surroundings.
